Equality Objectives
The Equality Act 2010 requires us to publish specific and measurable equality objectives.
Our equality objectives are based on our analysis of data and other information gained through monitoring activities. Our equality objectives aim to ensure equality of provision throughout the school community.
We will regularly review the progress we are making to meet our equality objectives.
Equality objective 1:
To increase the number of children in disadvantaged groups attaining at a higher level in maths and writing.
Progress we are making on this objective:
Children identified and targeted. Performance Management targets for teachers to raise attainment for individual children. Staff training and time to share good practice in order to support the teaching of greater depth activities. Developing our approach to whole class teaching of mathematics.
Equality objective 2:
All groups of pupils regularly attend school in line with National expectation.
Progress we are making on this objective:
Pupils and parents are aware of the importance of attendance. We remind parents about attendance and punctuality through newsletters and letters. Attendance is emphasised with classes being awarded for the best attendance.
Individual attendance concerns raised with parents through meetings with the class teacher or Headteacher. Educational Welfare Officer involved where attendance rates have become a concern.
