SIAMS Inspection - Graded "OUTSTANDING"
St Paul’s is proud to announce that it has received a grade of “OUTSTANDING” for its recent SIAMS inspection.
All Church of England dioceses and the Methodist Church use the National Society’s framework for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005. The framework sets out the expectations for the conduct of the Statutory Inspection of Anglican, Methodist and ecumenical Schools under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005 and provides a process for evaluating the extent to which church schools are “distinctively and recognisably Christian institutions”.
SIAMS inspection focuses on the effect that the Christian ethos of the church school has on the children and young people who attend it. Church schools will employ a variety of strategies and styles, which reflect their particular local context or church tradition in order to be distinctive and effective.
Below are some quotes from the inspectors report:
"St. Paul’s really understands the way in which its work is rooted in Christian values and how these underpin every aspect of school life.......The impact of collective worship is outstanding because it develops in children an excellent understanding of the relationship between the Bible messages they hear and how the values, based on biblical principles and the teaching of Jesus, have meaning for them today.......The headteacher’s inspirational Christian leadership , strongly supported by the governors and leadership team, impacts positively on the clear strategic direction of this church school’s inclusive, encouraging and caring community."
